I have a few new Arcades in stock that can still be modded. Once these are gone that will be the end of new premod consoles since none of the new consoles can now be modded. Get them while supplies last HERE.

There seems to be a new IX 1.6.1 making its rounds. However at this moment it only seems to be for Samsung and BenQ drives.
At this moment this sounds a little too fishy to install onto customers drives at this moment. this firmware does not come with any documentation and does not look like it was made by c4eva (the guy that does all the custom firmware)

Update: Well it seems legit. If anyone has a Samsung or BenQ drive and wants support for new wave 4 games without the need to use Activate.iso then feel free to select the update service HERE. Liteon IX 1.6.1 will be out at a later date. |

Cars Race o Rama is first 'Wave 4' disc |

Cars Race o Rama seems to be the first Xbox 360 game with the 'Wave 4'. Basically, Wave 4 is Wave 3 with the new 8498 NXE update.
Because iXtreme v1.6 checks the video partition CRC (for security) to only boot Wave1/2/3, it will not be able to boot the new Wave4 discs.
There are several solutions ... you can downgrade to iXtreme v1.51 (that was made when Wave 3 was released) that does not check the Video partition CRC and if you must use iXtreme v1.6 (liteon drive) you can use the activate.iso boot-disc that will bypass this check for you.
This new wave 4 will be implemented on just about all future games to come out.
You can download activate.iso HERE. Un rare it and it needs to be burned to a DUAL LAYER disk, but entirely on the first layer (do not set a layerbreak and when imgburn prompts, tell it to burn to the first layer only
IF and when a new IX firmware comes out to address this issue I will be offering the service for it. But until now this is the only solution for you.

No more new premod console sales |

Until this new 83850c (V2) drive can be flashed there will be no new premodded console sales. Also note that if anyone is getting consoles back from Microsoft on repair there is a chance it will come with this new drive. Anyone wanting to get their consoles done keep an eye on the manufacture date. If you have one manufactured around September on you may also have this new drive. There is no way to know unless you take the console apart and try to mod it. |

There is a couple new drives making its way to store shelves. First is a second edition of 83850c and now (maybe) 93450c. As of yet there is no available mods for these drives.

What this means is that as soon as these new drives start hitting store shelves then the purchase of new premodded systems will be removed.
Â
As of now most new consoles that can still be baught has the good to go older Liteon flashable drives. BUT this will change very soon. There is no easy way to know if you have one of these drives without taking the console apart. On top of that there is no way to know if you have the second edition of the 83850c drive until you go to mod it.
